During our professional exchange program “Identity and Cross-Cultural Encounters in a Pluralistic Society” in Haifa/Israel we had the chance to speak with two Israeli educators about how to educate diversity in a pluralistic society despite or precisely because of given societal conflicts.
Watch now the two interviews with Moran Ofek, Director of the Hand in Hand Elementary School – the Center for Jewish-Arab Education in Israel, and Yair Laibl from HaShomer HaTzair, who talk about future perspectives on education for diversity.
The project “Living Diversity in Germany and Israel” is implemented by ConAct – Coordination Center German-Israeli Youth Exchange in cooperation with the Israel Youth Exchange Authority. It is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth through the German federal program “Live Democracy!” as well as through support from the Israeli Youth Exchange Authority. The project is running from 2015 to 2019.
